Serving Bedford, Bloomfield, Bloomington, Ellettsville, Jasonville, Linton, Martinsville, Mitchell, Spencer and Worthington

Branch 828 was originally chartered in 1901 by the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) to represent city letter carriers in Bloomington. Branch 828 began merging with branches from other communities in the late 1980’s.

In the late 1990's Branch 828 officially changed its name from Bloomington Branch 828 to South Central Indiana Branch 828 to reflect the larger geographic area represented.

Branch 828 is affiliated with the Indiana State AFL-CIO and the White River Central Labor Council.
